NED 90113 Ground wire connector “QuickGrip”

General

Ground wire connector for feed thru and tap joints. Fast production of long term stable terminations thanks to patented modified insulation piercing technique, wedge insulation piercing. For insulated ground wire o.d. 11.0-13.0 mm, wire size AWG 1.2,3 or 4 wires may be jointed.

Assembly

Function

When the cover (CO) and the center part (CP) are screwed together, the spring washers (SW) are compressed.

This bolted joint will pull the wedge (W2) of the center part towards the wedge (Wl) of the cover. The wedges will squeeze one side of the cable (CA) resulting in it being pushed away in horizontal direction.

This in turn will make strands (ST) push on the insulation piercing knife (IPK).

This is the contact force (

). It is kept up by the spring washers.
